Vasco da Gama, a Portuguese navigator, was the first European to discover the sea route to India. This changed world trade at the time. Monopolies were broken up and the Portuguese dominated maritime trade with India.
Vasco da Gama and the colours of India inspired the cartographers at Zoffoli to create this globe series. The current cartography impresses with its individual colouring.
