What is an illuminated globe?

A luminous globe is usually a transparent or partially transparent sphere made of acrylic glass or crystal glass. A light source is connected inside the globe. The map image is applied to the globe and is illuminated from the inside by the light source.

What types of illuminated globes are there?

There are two types of illuminated globes: table globes and floor globes. There are also simple map images, which usually show the political map image in an illuminated and unlit state,
but also so-called double map images, which show the physical map image in an unlit state and the political map image of the earth in an illuminated state, for example.
